Liquid Sands Gallery Celebrates Year One

Congratulations to Savannah, Georgia's wonderful new gallery "Liquid Sands" for passing their first anniversary in their new gallery.

It's never easy to pull everything together but to keep the gallery thriving in this economy is something to applaud. Horray!! Whooo HOOO!

Kym Miller, owner of the Liquid Sands glass art gallery is an award winner. Look at this picture of the gallery and see why they have been nationally acknowledged in 2010 for best new retailer of the year and best visual merchandiser.

We only wish our own Nourot Gallery was as stunningly beautiful. At Liquid Sands there is light, space and color. There you can experience the glass sculpture best in a space that makes you feel at peace and at one with the colors and light.

Located at 319 W. Broughton St. , Savannah, Georgia. The Liquid Sands Gallery hours are: Tuesday - Saturday 11 - 6, Sundays 1 - 4. Mondays by chance.

Comment to us here at Nourot Studio when you go visit and give us your own review. For our part, we wish we could clone Kym and have such a great space for Nourot glass nearer to home here in California.

Time Out for a Little Color Therapy

Almost anything that lifts the spirits these days is a welcome breath of fresh air. Take a look at the site: http://www.colourlovers.com. Put in any color you like and you may find a story like the one on PINK.
Did you know that the term PINKO was a term coined by Time magazine in 1926 to refer to those with politically leftish and mildly socialist or communist beliefs? Also pink in the early part of the 20th Century was associatd with boys! The color light blue with girls; as it was thought to denote constancy and faithfulness and refer to the Virgin Mary.
Color Palates can be found on the site as well. Although on computer screen they lack the depth and subtlety of surface sheen, texture and lustre you have in real life.
Get involved and add your own colors to the list.
Nourot Glass Studio's handblown glass is known for it's vibrant and rich colors. Many of the Scarlet Nova Christmas Ornaments are now on display. Other Holiday decorations are being set up today. Stop by the studio gallery at 675 East H Street in Benicia to see what is hot in blown glass.
