Show Opening in Benicia Tonight

Tonight at the Rellik Tavern/Coffee Shop/ Art Gallery/ Meeting Hall there is an event you may want to catch. Artist Sandra Summerfield Kozak will be showing her paintings and answering questions about her art.

In case you don't know, the Rellik is a Uber Salon and the place to meet in our town. Kinda strange, I remember when we did not even have an espresso machine here. Yes, that was long ago. Savannah Selection is Wonderful

Thanks to Kym and Jon Miller there is a great selection of the "Scarlet Nova" Nourot glass pieces at the Liquid Sands Gallery new location at 5 West York Street in Savannah, GA, US of A!

A Thing of Beauty

Our favorite movie star: Anil Kapour, shown here at the GBK Oscar Gift Suite where we met. He said to Ann Nourot: "We have allot of this kind of thing (art glass)in my country." But he graciously added when told the red glass Nourot vase was made especially for him , "Anything made with love is a good thing."
Indeed. Perhaps Nourot pieces gifted to celebrities are still adorning the homes of starlets and writers, costume designers and sound technician nominees. We certainly hope so.

Working in glass for 35 years has been an amazing experience and Micheal and Annie would like to thank all of our fans for their support over the years. Here are some shots of glass making a few years ago. Gabe looks to be about 7 so maybe it's 2002. You tell us.

Today there was an article about us in the Vallejo Times Herald. Vallejo for those who might knot know, is the town just west of Benicia. The article touted us for being still around after 35 years. City of Benicia had given us a commendation recently at the City Council, so this writer, a Mr. Tony Burchyns, thought he'd have an easy time writing about us--who else but someone in business 35 years would have a load of stories to tell?
Seems like the Nourots are moving into those years when the past looms larger than the present.
