Lavender Opal glass

Recently we put up a profile picture on facebook of Lavender Opal Glass. People ask, do you make that in other shapes and styles? Well, yes, and no. We still have the enamel colors here that it takes to produce the water colored effect. When it's requested, Nourot makes the Lavender Opal from time to time.  It also makes a nice display against all of our Red Satin and Scarlet Nova glass in our gallery.
Here are some of the pieces on display this month. August 2011 marks Nourot Studio's 37th year in Benicia and to celebrate our anniversary you can save 20% on every Nourot gallery piece!
Maybe by September we'll get around to planning a party, too. We think of the early fall as our anniversary since we began our lease on August 1, 1974 but didn't have glass until October 31, 1974. A small matter of building the furnaces, lehrs, benches, glory holes, etc. Back in the day you couldn't get them off eBay! How times have changed.
Pictured here, too are pieces by Ed Branson (purple bowl with clear foot), Kenny Peiper (tall one), and the candlesticks are by Berni Enterprises. More pictures of these on Picasa.
