October in Chico with Glass

The California Glass Exchange is about to meet for its 22nd year! It was originated at
San Jose State University in 1984 as a forum for students, practitioners, collectors and
teachers who share a common interest in the medium of glass on the West Coast of the USA.

In the beginning, CGE was totally funded by contributions in the form of a yearly conference fee,
resources shared by various sponsoring institutions of learning, galleries, museums, studios both
public and private, and mostly by the generous donations of time and expertise of artists
associated with this medium.
