Happy People Making Glass or Making Off with the Glass

Two tidbits to get you in the mood for some glass art news:

ONE "A free, family-oriented Glass Fest will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 16, in the Toledo Museum of Art's Glass Pavilion, featuring hands-on glass and glass-inspired activities.
Also at the museum, Jutta-Annette Page, curator of glass, will lead a gallery talk about new glass purchases at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 in Libbey Court. Information: 419-254-5771." From Toledo Intelligencier.

AND TWO In other news, this time from Seattle: The police can't seem to even give away this glass collection: "Seattle police have a stash of stolen glass art and are trying find the owner of the artworks and other stolen goods.
Expensive blown-glass art was recovered by detectives during a searches in July 2005. The searches were the culmination of a two-year investigation of an organized crime ring, police say.
Most of the art was stolen from glass galleries and retailers and sold at Liberty Loan Pawn Shop, according to police." From: blog.seattle.pi.com
